The Saudi Organic Farming Association participated in a specialized workshop titled “Improving Organic Date Palm Production Through Proper Fertilization Practices,” organized by the National Center for Organic Agriculture in the Al-Qassim region on April 14, 2026, with the participation of experts and farmers.

The workshop aimed to raise awareness of the importance of organic fertilization, review best practices in date palm nutrition, empower farmers to select appropriate fertilization programs, and introduce sustainable solutions that enhance production.

The workshop covered organic fertilization programs and the importance of compost and vermicompost in improving soil fertility and increasing production, in addition to reviewing the nutritional needs of date palms throughout the year.

It concluded with a hands-on field tour showcasing practical examples of fertilization methods and soil management.

This participation is part of the Association’s efforts to support the development of the organic sector, increase production efficiency, and promote the sustainability of agricultural resources in the Kingdom.
