As part of its ongoing efforts to develop the organic agriculture sector and transfer knowledge to farmers, the Saudi Organic Farming Association, in collaboration with the Organic Agriculture Department and the National Center for Organic Agriculture, organized a field workshop titled “Organic Fertilization Management for Vegetable Crops in Greenhouses,” on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at the model organic demonstration field at the Bin Damak Farm in the Asir region.

The workshop addressed a number of important topics, most notably:
• The role of the Saudi Organic Farming Association in the development and advancement of the organic sector.
• The importance of organic fertilization in improving the productivity of fruiting vegetable crops.
• Guidelines and best practices for growing organic tomatoes in greenhouses.

The workshop also included a field visit to the demonstration plot, during which the most important sound agricultural practices and field procedures adopted in organic farming were reviewed.
